Update

I just got a phone call from our worker at MAPS. The little girl that we have been pursuing is no longer available. I asked what happened and was told that she didn't really have a good answer. She was speaking to their in-country representative about us being matched with this girl and the representative informed her that she was no longer available.

I'm disappointed (to minimize), but we know that this is just God pointing us in a different direction. We continue to be open to a range of ages and abilities, so we'll see what happens.

Oh no, I can only imagine how incredibly disappointing that must be. How frustrating to not have an answer to the 'why' either!! Keeping you in my thoughts that your adoption process looks up soon!!!!

I am so sorry Kristy! That is so frustrating! Praying you get matched with another child soon!

Oh Kristy! I am so sorry that you are suffering this disappointment. It must be so difficult to reason away without a REASON. I sincerely hope that the unavailability of this child only means that another family has become her new family and will love her in the way that your family was so eager and willing to do. I know there is that "perfect fit" out there for the Labontes!!

Hugs,

Julie, that's what we're hoping too. That someone in India has adopted her. That's what I'm choosing to believe.

Oh Kristy!! I'm SO sorry. I pray that you find comfort. I'm not even going to offer any "positive" thoughts. This plan out stinks. Holding you up in prayer.
Hugs,
Pam

How heartbreaking for you, Kristy. It's so hard to explain how you can begin to love someone you've never met . . . but it's definitely true and real. I am so sorry to hear that she will not be joining your family. I'll be praying for you as you grieve this disappointment, and for that perfect little someone that's just waiting for you.

Hey you. I'm sorry. And I know that things work out in certain ways for certain reasons but it doesn't make the heartbreak any easier. I'm sure she was adopted by a loving family....but not giving you a reason would make me a bit angry too.

THinking of you!!

So sorry, and disappointed. She was actually starting to become a part of the family already. This must be hard for all of you, and for Maddie especially. We are still hoping for another one that fits in the family as well as Max Rup.

Kristy,
I had fallen in love with her also, amazing how that happens, but I remember how your first opportunity during the last adoption that came while you were pursuing Max changed in Max's direction and what a blessing that has been. I believe that this is the avenue that has been meant to be.
