Fall Has Arrived!

We pick apples here every year. I love that we live in a place where there is a box for $ and a price list on the wall. Honor system still exists.

Myles filled his bag with superhero speed.

Of course, Max Rup was a better eater than picker.

Maddie just wanted to explore.

My two favorite trees in our yard.

Me and my boys being silly.

Wicked cute together!

Maddie and the kitty, Petri. He's thriving.

Our pumpkin harvest. Four pumpkins for four kiddos.
Adoption update: Not much happening right now. We're packing, paperwork is all labeled and organized. We just need a passport. The director of ISRC thinks that it will be the end of the month for passports. This would be fine with me, but we realize that it is really just a guesstimate, and could be even longer. We're ready to go as soon as it is possible. I'm struggling with this last part of the wait - I miss him terribly, dream about him, want him home NOW.
I've decided that Petri is the project God sent to keep me busy during this wait. Everyone told us he wouldn't make it, but he's growing like a weed, is sweet and playful, and we're all in love with him. We certainly weren't in the market for a cat, but we're glad he found us.
I probably won't post again until the passport gets here. I plan on blogging on our trip again, daily. It helped me feel connected to home last time, and gave us an opportunity to share our experience with folks. I encourage comments when we're in India - we loved hearing from folks back home. The fix of familiarity was much needed.
Stay tuned. . .

Looks like you are enjoying Fall! :) We still need to do the pumpkin patch and apple orchard. Leaves still haven't really turned here. I sure hope you get your passport news faster than the estimate. Hang in there on the home stretch. You will have that sweet Mason in your arms before you know it. I'm so glad you'll be blogging in India. The rest of us need our fix! :) Kristi

Anya is sitting here with me, talking about her trip to the apple orchard. :o) She asked what YOUR name is, Kristy, since you're in a couple photos!

We are praying for speedy passport action for you, and can't wait to see your 4th child united with his family -- and the pumpking that's waiting for him!
Hugs,
Nancy

I'm totally jealous! My boys begged to go apple picking but the season here is in August and was not a good one this year so no picking :(

Can't wait to hear that you have that passport is done and are on your way to your sweet boy!
